The Most Beautiful Sunset
Ryan
My favourite evening was on our last day. I was exploring the coast on foot without my shoes on. The beach was still warm from the afternoon. I saw some small ships far away, but I was happy to stay on land with my cold glass of juice. I couldn’t believe how quickly the light left the sky. It felt like it only took two minutes for the bright orange sky to turn completely black! Next time, I will make sure I don’t miss it.
Megan
We found a great restaurant near the water to spend our evening. I sat there for a whole hour watching the sky change. It wasn’t fast at all! The pink and purple clouds looked exactly like a beautiful piece of art in a museum. A man sitting nearby had a guitar and sang lovely tunes. It made the moment feel very special. I immediately used my phone to get some great shots, and then I sent them to my parents so they could see how wonderful it was.
Carlos
I didn’t want to just stand on the beach like everyone else, so I paid for a sailing trip. Floating on the waves was the perfect way to end the day. While the sun went down, our guide gave everyone a warm cup of sweet tea. It was lovely! Some tourists were busy trying to get good pictures, but I decided to leave my phone in my bag. I just wanted to rest and look at the amazing colours without looking at a screen.

Going to a Music Festival
Liam
I travelled to the capital for the Big Sound weekend with my older brother. We originally wanted to sleep in a tent, but he decided to book a cheap hotel room instead. We got our tickets online months ago, so we didn’t pay too much. However, the burgers and pizzas at the festival cost so much money! I spent all my pocket money just on lunch and a drink. The music was amazing though, and I stood at the front for every band, so I saw everyone I wanted to.
Noah
I almost didn’t go to the festival because the website was completely sold out. Luckily, a girl at my school had an extra one, so I gave her the cash for it. My dad offered to drive me, but my friends and I decided to take the railway instead. It was a really fast journey! I brought my own sandwiches, which saved me a lot of money. The only bad thing was that I dropped my favourite jacket in the crowd and never got it back.
Ethan
The music festival was brilliant, but there were thousands of people there! We took a long coach ride to get to the other city. Because we didn’t have much money for a room, we brought our sleeping bags and stayed in the fields for three nights. There were four different stages. Sometimes two great singers were playing at the exact same time, which means I couldn’t watch everyone on my list. I was sad about that. I also left my mobile phone on the grass, but a kind man returned it to me!

A boat trip to hidden caves
Max
Our boat trip to the dark caves was brilliant. We got a very cheap ticket, which was great. The water was quite rough, and one guy next to me had a bad stomach, but I felt completely fine! When we finally went inside the rocks, it was beautiful. I couldn’t stop using my phone to snap images of the amazing shapes. It was so dark, but I suddenly noticed a really weird bat sleeping on the wall. I have never seen a living thing like that before in my life! I want to go back soon.
Lily
I went to explore the sea caves last weekend. I didn’t bring my camera, so I just looked at everything with my own eyes. The sun was shining the whole time, making the sea look amazing. To get on the boat, I spent a lot of cash, which I wasn’t very happy about! However, the man driving the boat was fantastic. He answered all our questions and gave us excellent information about the history of the rocks. Even though it cost a lot, I had a really wonderful afternoon on the water.
Sam
Taking a boat to the hidden caves was an interesting experience. I didn’t go with my friends this time. Instead, my parents and my younger sister came with me. We rented a small boat just for us, so there was no one to show us around. Unfortunately, I hated the strong winds and grey clouds. Because the sea was moving so much, my stomach hurt badly. I needed to lie down for most of the journey! When we went inside the caves, we looked for fish or bats, but we didn’t spot anything alive.
