Teenagers and Video Editing Software

Toby

I love making short movies on my PC. The program I use is great because I downloaded it from the internet and didn’t have to pay a single penny. It has basic tools for cutting clips and adding music. However, my old laptop kept turning off when I used it. Because of that, I saved my pocket money for six months to get a faster computer with more power. Now it works perfectly! I only show my finished clips to my parents and sister at home, as I’m still learning.

Elena

When I started editing, I tried a professional program, but it was too difficult. Then I found this software, which is perfect for someone who is completely new to making videos. Everything is clear and simple to find. My favorite part is adding cool filters to alter the background style or make the sky look purple! It’s so much fun. When I finish a video, I always put it on my online channel. Thousands of people follow me there and leave nice comments about my work. My computer is quite cheap, but the software runs well on it.

Rick

I use a very famous computer program to edit my videos. It wasn’t cheap to buy, but it is worth it. Right now, I am making a short movie for my geography homework presentation next week. It shows different rivers and mountains. Whenever I don’t know how to do something, like adding text titles, I look at internet video guides. Those online clips show me exactly which buttons to click. My friends at school think my videos look amazing, but I don’t upload them to any websites because I want to keep them private.

Sightseeing on a Double-Decker Bus

Tom

I went on the big red bus with my parents. I really wanted to sit downstairs, but we climbed up to the top so we could see better. The views were fantastic! I wore the headphones they gave us and heard some amazing stories about the capital’s past. It was much better than reading a book! I also made sure to get some great shots of the old castle and the bridges with my phone. The only bad thing was that it started to rain at the end of the trip.

Bella

My mum got our passes on a website last week, so we didn’t have to wait in a queue. When we climbed aboard, water was falling heavily from the sky, so we had to wear warm coats. Luckily, the sun came out later. The tour was nearly three hours long, which was quite a long time to sit in one place! I saw lots of beautiful monuments, but I didn’t get any pictures because my mobile battery was dead. Instead, I just looked at everything.

Diego

My teacher organised this amazing journey for my class. We bought our tickets directly from the driver when we got there. Because there were thirty of us, the top area was full, so we stayed on the lower level. Looking out of the windows was still really fun! I didn’t put the headphones on to listen to the history because I was chatting with my friends. The whole thing only took forty-five minutes. I really wished we could drive around for another hour!

Taking a taxi late at night

Kevin

After the concert, there were no more buses. I stood on the path for nearly an hour before a taxi finally stopped for me! The traffic was terrible, so the price on the small screen kept going up. By the time we reached my house, the total was huge. I had to give the driver all the cash I had, which was a lot higher than my plan! I didn’t use a phone program to book it, I just waved my hand. I was so tired when I got out that I didn’t notice my warm winter hat was still on the back seat.

Lara

My friends and I stayed late at a cafe. Because it was midnight, the public transport was finished. I didn’t want to stand outside in the dark, so I opened a special program on my smartphone to ask for a car. It was very simple. The driver arrived in five minutes and he was so friendly. We talked the whole way and I understood every word he said. I felt very safe with him. The journey was quite a high price, but my friend Sarah and I divided the bill in half, so it wasn’t too bad for my wallet.

Dan

I had to get a taxi from the train station last weekend. There were lots of cars waiting, so I jumped straight into one. I didn’t travel with a mate, so I had to pay the whole amount myself! The man driving tried to chat with me, but his voice sounded very different. I couldn’t catch what he was saying at all, so I just smiled. Once we left the city centre, he drove way too fast. We went around corners so quickly that I was really frightened. I was so happy when I finally got out at home with all my bags!
