Saving Documents Online

Oliver

Since our manager decided to put all our documents online, my daily life is much better. I don’t have to travel into the city every day. Now, I can sit in my living room and do all my tasks from there. Before, my laptop was always full of heavy files, which made it terrible to use. Because everything is stored on the internet now, my PC operates so much faster. My colleague Maya said she had a few issues with her Wi-Fi, but mine is always excellent. I haven’t lost a single 

document either!

Maya

At first, I didn’t want to use the internet to keep our team’s work. I was really scared that someone would delete our projects by mistake and they would be gone forever. Luckily, that hasn’t happened. In fact, our boss is very happy because we don’t buy paper or ink anymore, so the company keeps more cash in the bank. The only bad thing is that you need a strong web connection. When the signal at the office goes down, I cannot open any of my folders. I’d rather be in the office than at home for that reason.

Leo

I am not very good with modern technology. When we started saving our team’s files online, I didn’t know what to do. Luckily, a younger worker showed me the steps, and I watched a few videos to get better. Now, I actually prefer it! In the past, I spent hours looking through paper folders to get information from last year. Now, I just type a word on my screen and I get past reports in seconds. My computer speed hasn’t really changed, but my desk is definitely a lot cleaner without all those papers everywhere.

The Joy of One Thousand Downloads

Leo

When I finished my puzzle game, my parents were very proud of me. However, I never expected it to be such a big hit. I couldn’t believe it when it reached 10,000 players in just three days! It was a wonderful shock. My favourite part of the day is waking up and going through the nice comments players leave on the app page. Some people ask me to add extra levels to the game, but I am actually too busy with school right now to do that.

Mia

I built my app because I wanted a tool that makes learning maths easier for teenagers. It is completely free, so I didn’t get any cash from it. It also took a long time, almost a whole year, to get 1,000 downloads. But I don’t mind! The greatest feeling in the world is when I spot someone on the bus playing it. I love knowing that my work is helping someone I have never met. I read their reviews sometimes, but seeing it in real life is much better!

Noah

I first had the idea for my app when my grandfather kept forgetting to take his medicine. I designed it especially for him, to ring loudly like an alarm clock. I learned a lot about coding at school, which really helped me build it. Now, thousands of people use it to remember important daily tasks! I charge a small amount for the download, and last week I was able to get the guitar I always dreamt of. Right now, I am building extra features that will be ready next month.
