Waiting for the Post
Leo
I found a great jacket online for my older brother’s birthday. He wanted to wear it to his friend’s party, but it didn’t arrive in time. At first, I thought it was late because of the heavy rain, but the delivery company lost it! I was really angry. The tracking page just stopped working. In the end, I wrote an email to the shop and explained that I wanted my cash returned. They were very sorry and said yes. I won’t buy things from that website again. Next time, I will just go to the shopping centre.
Maya
I bought a new bag for college three weeks ago. I checked the tracking app every day, but it just said ‘delayed’. I wanted to know where it was, so I walked to the local post office to ask the workers. They told me that the roads were full of snow, so the drivers couldn’t travel to my city. I needed a bag quickly, so I just went to a store in my town and paid for a new one. The online shop didn’t want to give me my money back, so now I have two bags!
Sam
I got some nice black shoes for the end-of-year dance at my high school. I ordered them a month early. Yesterday, the app told me that my package was at my front door, but when I looked outside, there was absolutely nothing there! The message was completely wrong. My mum was very upset for me. I didn’t want to go to the post office because I had to study for a test. Luckily, a neighbour brought the box to me this morning. The driver left it at the wrong house! I’m so happy I have them now.

Selling Clothes Online
Liam
I started using this app last month to sell my old sweaters. It was quite difficult to learn at first! Also, I wanted to get ten pounds for my favourite blue jumper, but a teenager online only offered me five. I accepted it anyway because I needed the cash. My mum usually washes my old things for me before I sell them. The worst part was taking the packages to the post office. My boxes were too big, and the man there wouldn’t take them, so I had to walk home and find different ones!
Ruby
My friends told me about this app, and I love it. You just take a photo and click a button, so you do not need to be clever with computers to understand how it works. Taking good pictures can take hours, but writing the text is very fast. I often buy dresses and then decide I do not like them. So, I put them on the app with the shop tickets still on them! I always put my items in the washing machine first so they smell beautiful for the new owner.
Noah
I love business! I put a lot of my old sports jackets on the app. Putting the boxes in the mail is really fast and easy for me. I usually ask for ten pounds, and sometimes people actually give me fifteen, which is amazing! However, typing all the details about the size and colour on my phone screen is so slow. I spend my whole evening doing it! When I finally make some cash, I don’t go to the shopping centre. I prefer to spend it on cool vintage hats from other teenagers right here on the screen.

Trying on Funny Costumes
Harry
Last Saturday, my mates and I visited the new party store in town. I immediately found a brown monkey suit. It had a long tail and looked very funny! I wanted to wear it all day, but the thick material made me sweat after just five minutes. I had to take it off quickly because I was boiling! My friend took a picture of me to show his mates, but I didn’t send it to my mum and dad. I didn’t get the suit, but I paid for a tall, silly hat before we left.
Ben
I needed something special because I am going to my cousin’s sixteenth celebration next weekend. The shop was full of amazing outfits. I saw a brilliant dinosaur costume, but a younger boy was buying it! Instead, I put on a bright yellow space suit. It was fantastic, so I used my phone to get some great snaps. I emailed them to my mother and father straight away, and they laughed a lot. The person working at the desk wasn’t very nice, but I didn’t care because we had so much fun.
Dan
We spent nearly two hours in the shop, and it was great. I picked up a giant robot outfit. When I put it on, the legs and arms went past my hands and feet! It dragged on the floor, so I couldn’t walk properly. I asked the lady working there for a smaller one. She smiled, looked everywhere for me, and finally brought me the right size. She was so nice! I didn’t feel warm at all because the thin plastic was actually quite cold. I also tried on a robot mask, but I didn’t buy it.
