Transcripts
1 Louisa
TIM: I don’t know what classes to take this semester. I can’t decide what I want to do with my life. Have you thought about it, Louisa?
LOUISA: A little bit. My history professor says I should think about a career in politics. But I don’t think I’d make a good politician.
TIM: Why not?
LOUISA: Oh, you know me. I’m not good at working with other people. I’m too moody. And politicians have to work with people all the time.
TIM: That’s true. So what do you think you want to do?
LOUISA: Well, honestly. I think I’d make a good architect.
TIM: Oh, you would! You’re so creative.
LOUISA: And I love drawing and, I don’t know, making things. Plus, then I’d get to work alone a lot.
2 Tim
TIM: That reminds me of a problem I’m having.
LOUISA: What is it?
TIM: You know my parents have a restaurant, right? Well, my father wants me to be the manager.
LOUISA: And you don’t want to?
TIM: No way. Restaurant managers have to manage other people. I’d be terrible. I’m too disorganized.
LOUISA: So, what do you want to do?
TIM: Well, I think I could be a good teacher. I like working with kids, and I’m pretty patient.
LOUISA: That’s true. And you’re very hardworking.
