Noah
I live in a busy city, far away from the beach. I first fell in love with the water when my parents took me to the coast for our summer break two years ago. I spent all my time swimming! Now, I want to be a marine biologist. I read a lot of information online, and I find the articles really easy to learn from. When I get a job, my dream is to use a camera to make exciting documentaries about ocean life so everyone can see how beautiful it is. I don’t want to travel much, though. I’d like to stay in my own country.
Emma
My apartment is just a five-minute walk from the beach. Because I am so close to the sea, I go there every weekend with my uncle. He likes fishing, but I prefer taking pictures of the strange green leaves and flowers that live under the waves. They are fascinating! I really want to become a marine biologist after university. Most of my classmates want to look at small fish, but I would love to follow massive animals, like whales and sharks. I don’t want to make movies about them; I just want to swim beside them and learn how they live.
Lucas
Being a marine biologist sounds like an amazing career. I have a big test on the ocean next week. My teacher gave me lots of heavy texts to read, but the words are too difficult for me. I prefer watching science shows on TV instead! I am not really interested in learning about the underwater forests or plants. I prefer studying tiny fish and crabs. The best thing about this job is that you can fly across the globe. I really hope I can cross the ocean to work in places like Australia or Japan when I am older!

Olivia
To organize a fantastic birthday or wedding, arriving on the exact hour is everything. You can never be slow when you are getting things ready for an event! I also think it is necessary to hear exactly what the families ask for. If they want a quiet evening, you must give them that. People spend a huge amount of cash on these days, so they want everything perfect. Finally, picking the best dishes and snacks is a big part of the job. You have to know what kind of meals different people enjoy.
Marcus
When I plan a big celebration, I usually do the project by myself because I like being my own boss. I believe the best skill is knowing how to keep costs low. Families give you a certain number of pounds, and you must not buy things that are too expensive! Also, you need to have wonderful ideas for the space. Bringing fantastic flowers and colorful lights into a dark hall makes the place look amazing. Guests love tasty meals, but the first thing they notice is how pretty everything is.
Elena
Large parties have lots of moving parts, so you cannot do it alone. Doing things well with other helpers, like the band and the waiters, is very important. You must share tasks easily. Sometimes, the party might finish very late at night, and you have to be ready for anything. For example, if the music stops or a table breaks, you must stay completely relaxed. Getting angry or frightened doesn’t help anyone! A good planner fixes the trouble quickly with a big smile so the guests can keep dancing.

I have always loved taking pictures. My uncle is a professional, but he didn’t give me my equipment. Actually, my mum and dad bought me a brilliant digital camera for my fifteenth birthday! I practise every day. I don’t charge people for my work yet, as I am still learning. In the future, I want to work for a famous travel magazine. My biggest dream is to fly to different nations and explore new cities with my camera. It would be amazing!
Chloe
I want to work for a nature magazine. Some people want to go to foreign places, but I just want to photograph birds and bears right here in the local forests. I spent all my pocket money to buy my equipment. The only problem is that carrying the large bags and extra lenses makes my shoulders really ache! After I finish a long walk, I sit on the grass and fix the colours on my smartphone screen before sending the images to my friends.
Max
I am building a collection of images for a sports magazine. I take my camera to football and basketball matches, as I think nature photography is quite boring! My images are quite good now because the art teacher in my class checks my work and tells me how to get better. I don’t fix my images on my phone because the screen is too small; I use a large laptop instead. Last week, a local newspaper actually gave me twenty pounds for an image of a winning goal!
