Walking in High Heels at Formal Events

Anna

My cousin’s wedding was amazing, but my feet hurt so much! I bought some dark blue high heels because I wanted them to match my clothes perfectly. However, I usually just wear flat trainers, so it was my first time trying tall shoes. Walking was very hard, and I almost fell over twice during the dinner. I really wanted to walk around with no shoes on, but I didn’t do it. In the end, the pain was too bad. I couldn’t stay for the dancing, so my dad drove me back to our house at 9 p.m.

Bella

I went to a big party last weekend. I almost ordered some new high heels on the web, but my older sister let me use hers instead. I have worn tall shoes in the past, but these ones were very high! To make sure I didn’t fall at the event, I spent three days walking up and down my bedroom in them. It really helped! My feet didn’t hurt at all during the party, and I stayed until midnight. I even danced a lot. I think finding the right size is the most important thing.

Losing Leather Gloves on a Cold Day

Leo

I was so sad last week. I had a beautiful pair of leather gloves. They were bright green, so they were definitely not a normal shade for winter clothes! My aunt gave them to me for my birthday. I was riding the bus to school on a freezing morning and I took them off to use my phone. When I got off, I left them on the seat. I almost went to the store to get some more, but the driver found them. I picked them up the next day, so I was very lucky!

Maya

My best classmate bought me some lovely black leather gloves for the holidays. They were the perfect gift because my hands are always cold! Last Sunday, I was watching people play ice hockey in the park. I put my hands in my pockets to warm up and didn’t notice that the left glove fell out on the grass. By the time I checked, it was gone. I looked everywhere but never found it. Now I only have the right one, which is useless! I really need to go shopping for a new set soon.

I completely lost my favourite dark brown gloves on Saturday. I was at the ice rink in the city centre, skating with my cousins. It was freezing, so I was wearing them the whole time. Buying a Special Birthday Necklace

Chloe

For my 15th birthday, I wanted something really special. I didn’t want to buy anything online because I like seeing things first. So, my mother came with me to the big jewellery shop in town. We found a beautiful silver necklace. It was certainly not cheap, and I had to use all the cash from my piggy bank to get it! But it is absolutely perfect. Since that day, I never take it off, even when I am sleeping or having a shower. I plan to take it on my summer trip next week!

Maya

I usually spend my birthday money on clothes, but this year I decided to get some silver jewellery. I found my lovely necklace during a trip to France with my school friends. I saw it in a small market, and it was actually quite inexpensive! I didn’t need to ask my parents for extra cash. The silver is cut into the shape of a tiny star. I love looking up at the dark night, so it is the perfect design for me. I only put it on for parties because I don’t want to lose it.

Sofia

Every year, I always get nice gifts for my sisters and friends, but I rarely remember to treat myself! For my 16th birthday, I changed that. There are no good jewellery shops near my house, so I searched on a website to find my silver necklace. It took three days to arrive in the post, but I was so happy when I opened the box. It is a simple silver circle, not an animal or a star. I don’t wear it every day, but putting it on makes me feel amazing.
