Amazing Hotel Holidays

Jake

Last month, my family and I travelled to the coast in our country. We stayed at a wonderful 4-star place. It was incredibly peaceful because there were no noisy streets or traffic around it, just tall trees and nature. From my bedroom glass doors, the ocean looked fantastic! I took so many photos of the beach. The people working there were okay, but they seemed very busy. I wanted to use my phone to play games, but getting online cost £5 a day! So, I just read a book instead.

Emma

I usually go camping, but this year we went to a fantastic luxury hotel in the north of the country. I didn’t have a good window view because my room looked at a dark wall. However, I didn’t spend much time inside! The breakfasts and dinners were amazing, with so many delicious cakes and fresh salads to choose from. I ate too much! Also, the hotel had a huge area for water sports. I was in the pool every afternoon. The mattresses were a bit hard, so I didn’t sleep perfectly, but it was still a great trip.

Ryan

My parents booked a weekend trip at a large hotel in the capital city. Because it was in the center, it was quite loud outside. But inside, it was lovely! Everyone with a job there did their best to make us happy, always smiling and carrying our heavy bags. After walking around the city, I slept wonderfully because the blankets and mattresses were so soft. I also loved that getting on the internet was completely free. I didn’t have to spend any of my pocket money to message my friends. The food was just normal, nothing special.

Beach Holidays in Coastal Cities

Mia

I went to a beautiful coastal city last weekend with my school classmates. The beach is only a quick ten-minute bus ride from our town, so the journey was very short. We wanted to go into the water, but the ocean had a really low temperature! Because of that, I just relaxed on the dry sand instead. Later, we walked into the town centre to eat lunch at a nice café. I also went shopping at the local market and spent my money on a pretty summer dress and a sun hat to take home. In the evening, we just played board games inside our hotel room.

Liam

My trip to the coast was fantastic, but getting there was quite tiring. It took us over five hours by train to finally arrive at the seaside town! I travelled with my best friend, and we spent most of our time exploring the rocks. I really loved finding little crabs and colourful fish hiding in the pools of water. The sea was actually quite warm, so we swam a lot. On our last night, we didn’t want to leave the sound of the waves. We ordered some hot pizza and ate our delicious dinner at a wooden table right on the sand.

Sophia

I just returned from a relaxing holiday by the sea. I didn’t go with my friends this time; instead, my parents, aunt, and three cousins came with me. We stayed in an apartment very close to the coast. I forgot to pack my warm sweater, but the weather was so hot that I didn’t need to go to the shops for a new one. We spent hours swimming because we didn’t see any scary fish or jellyfish. When the sky got dark and the air cooled down, my cousins and I stayed outside. We had a really fun volleyball match on the sand before bed!

Visiting Historical Towns

Emma

I love going to old places because there is so much to do. I never eat at fast-food restaurants. Instead, I always order the food that the town is famous for. It is always delicious! I also enjoy chatting with the men and women who have homes there; they often tell amazing stories. Before I leave, I make sure to spend some money on a special gift, like a magnet or a cup, so I never forget my visit. My friend takes lots of pictures, but I usually forget to use my phone!

Lucas

For me, the best part of visiting a historical town is exploring on foot. I usually avoid the large squares full of tourists. I prefer finding small streets where there is absolutely no noise or traffic. Walking there makes me feel so relaxed. Looking at the old stone houses, I try to guess what the families did there hundreds of years ago. I don’t usually buy things to take back, as I prefer just walking around. Also, the meals they sell in the cafes are sometimes a bit strange for me.

Sophie

Whenever I go to an ancient village, I bring my camera. I spend hours looking for the perfect view so I can take amazing pictures of the beautiful old churches and castles. It is my favourite hobby! I don’t really talk to the people on the street because I am too busy looking at my screen. To make sure I see the best places, I always open a guidebook or search online a few days early. Getting some details before the journey makes the whole day much better!
