Why I Love Real Books
Meet Sarah, a fourteen-year-old student who loves reading. Most of her friends love reading stories on their tablets and mobile phones. However, Sarah is very different. She strongly believes that real paper books are much better than reading on a screen.
First of all, Sarah loves the smell and feel of paper. When she buys a new book, she always opens it to smell the pages. Also, reading on a bright screen makes her eyes tired. Sometimes, her friends get terrible headaches when they look at their tablets for a long time. With a paper book, Sarah can read for hours without any pain.
Another problem with electronic screens is that it is too easy to stop reading. When Sarah’s friends read on their phones, they often get text messages or decide to play video games instead. But when Sarah holds a real book in her hands, there are no messages or games to look at. She can just focus on the exciting story and forget about everything else.
Finally, Sarah likes collecting things. She keeps all her favorite books on a big wooden shelf in her bedroom. She really enjoys looking at the beautiful, colorful covers. Also, when she finishes a great story, she can quickly give the paper book to a friend to read. You can’t do that as easily with an electronic book! For all these reasons, Sarah hopes she will never change her reading habits.

(C) It is hard for people to concentrate on the story.
