Following Famous Stars Online

Tom

I love following famous actors and musicians on the internet. For me, the best part is seeing their regular routines, like what they eat for breakfast or where they go shopping. It makes them feel like real people! I also check out the amazing jackets and dresses they have on. Sometimes, I buy similar clothes if they aren’t expensive. Another great thing is finding out the exact dates for their latest cinema projects or albums before anyone else. Last week, I saw my favourite actor in a short clip, but I usually prefer reading their posts.

Lisa

I follow a few pop stars on social media, but I don’t care about what they eat or the clothes they wear. I follow them because they sometimes give things away. Last month, I typed my name on a singer’s page and got two free tickets to his show! It was the best day ever. When I look at their updates, I usually skip the long written messages. I find looking at mini films much more interesting than reading words. My brother uses his phone to track new movie dates, but I just enjoy the fun contests.

Harry

Following musicians is great, but it can be annoying. One guitarist I follow adds so many photos that my phone makes a sound every five minutes! I had to turn off my alerts because he is always online. Even though there is a lot of information, I trust their opinions. Recently, I paid for a special keyboard because my top rock star said it was the best one to play. It wasn’t cheap! My friends usually tell me about new songs, so I don’t use the internet for that. I also prefer still photographs to videos.

Summer Music Festivals

Liam

I went to the summer festival because my older brother bought us both passes for the weekend. He drove us there early in the morning. When we arrived, I couldn’t believe the huge number of fans everywhere. I really thought it would be much smaller! We stood near the front to watch the bands. We got to know some great guys standing next to us and chatted with them all afternoon. Luckily, the sky was completely blue, so we didn’t get wet. We also brought our own sandwiches, so we didn’t need to spend our cash at the cafés.

Zara

I visited the outdoor music festival with a group of my classmates. It was a brilliant day because we heard our favourite singers. However, the food areas were not cheap. The burgers and drinks cost a lot of money, which was quite annoying because I was very hungry! Also, the afternoon didn’t stay sunny. Suddenly, water fell from the sky, and we got very cold and wet. It was a pity we didn’t bring jackets. After the last song, we caught the bus home because we didn’t want to stay in a field until morning.

Noah

This festival is the most famous one in the country, so I knew there would be thousands of people there. I bought my entry ticket half a year ago because they sell out so fast! I went with three good friends, and we spent the whole weekend there. When the live music stopped at midnight, we didn’t go back to a hotel. Instead, we put up a small tent in a field and stayed inside that until morning. We were quite tired, but we had an amazing time. We just stayed together, so we didn’t chat with anyone we didn’t know.

A Confusing Thriller

Leo

I sat on the sofa beside my dad to watch this new thriller last Saturday. I didn’t look online or watch any trailers before it started, so everything was a surprise. The actors were not very good, and the story was quite slow. Because of that, I closed my eyes and missed the final part! My dad had to tell me what happened. Also, the music was not quiet enough, so it was hard to hear the characters talking. The mystery at the end was just too difficult for me to understand.

Sophia

I went to the cinema alone last weekend because my friends were all busy. I usually use a popular webpage to read about the plot before buying my ticket, so I already knew a little bit about the story. The movie had lots of scary moments, and the songs were soft and lovely. However, the main woman actor was bad, and the story became very strange. The surprise at the end completely shocked me. I actually watched the last ten minutes of the story a second time at home because I was so confused!

Oliver

My classmate told me about this film at school, so I went to see it on Sunday. My brother was too busy to come with me, so I went by myself. I didn’t feel tired at all because the action was very fast. The man in the main role was fantastic, and I really liked the soundtrack too. Many people say the plot is confusing, but I found it quite simple. In fact, I knew who the mystery man was after only ten minutes! I understood the final scene perfectly.
