Our Favourite TV Comedy

Harry

I watch this brilliant comedy whenever I have a difficult test to prepare for. Turning it on makes me relax and completely forget about my heavy bag of books and my classes. I’ve actually viewed every single part of this programme from start to end three times now because it is so funny! My older sister hates it, though, so I usually sit alone in my bedroom. The only bad thing is the awful music at the very beginning. I always skip the opening sound because it hurts my ears!

Maya

This television series is the funniest thing on the internet right now. The leading guy is definitely my favourite part because he tells the most amazing jokes and falls over a lot! I haven’t watched all the seasons yet, but I try to catch a new part every Friday evening. I always sit down on the big sofa with my parents and my brother to view it together. We never eat snacks or meals in front of the TV, but we do laugh loudly for the whole half hour!

Toby

After a long day at college, this comedy is exactly what I need. I usually put it on my tablet while I am enjoying my evening food at the kitchen table. It makes my pizza taste better! I really enjoy the guitar track at the beginning, but the main actor is just okay. I actually prefer the other people in the town. My only problem is that the stories are only twenty minutes long. I just wish they were much longer! When it ends, I always want to see more.

Watching the New Superhero Movie

Ben

I wanted to see the new superhero film on its first day. I used my laptop to pay for our seats before leaving the house, so we didn’t have to wait outside the cinema. I went with three friends from school. We didn’t buy any snacks because they are very expensive there. The action scenes were fast and exciting, and the whole thing felt quite short. However, I was really angry about the final part of the story. The hero didn’t catch the bad guy, which was a terrible way to complete it! Also, the pop songs they played were really annoying.

Mia

My friends and I bought our passes at the cinema desk because the website was broken. During the movie, I had two large boxes of popcorn and a big bag of chocolate! I enjoyed the story, and the way it finished was very clever. The best thing was definitely the songs they played during the fights. I downloaded them to my phone as soon as I got home because they sounded so brilliant. The only problem was that we sat in the dark for over three hours. I was very tired, and it needed to end much sooner.

Lucas

I am a huge fan of this superhero! I first watched the new movie on Saturday with my mum and dad. My dad loved the amazing action scenes. I enjoyed it so much that I returned to the cinema on Sunday to view it again with my older brother. We didn’t get any sweets or drinks because we wanted to focus on the story. Some people said the film was slow, but the two hours went by very quickly for me. The last few minutes were fantastic, but the sounds in the background were too loud and gave me a headache.

Creating the Perfect Road Trip Playlist

Mark

My family is driving to the beach next weekend. I’m making the music list, but I always share a link with my passengers so they can add their favourite tunes too. It’s fairer that way! I don’t use the car’s internet to play music because it’s usually quite bad. Instead of discovering unfamiliar artists, I prefer listening to the famous stars I already know. I always make sure to include some special songs we listened to on our last trip to the sea. Hearing them again brings back such great feelings from that wonderful time. We usually leave early in the morning, so the music needs to be exciting!

Sarah

For me, a road trip to the coast needs the perfect soundtrack. I never let anyone else change my list! I spend hours adding enough tracks for the whole journey so we never hear the same tune twice. My friends love it because I select very popular hits with words we all know, so the whole car can shout the lyrics together! I don’t really care about the weather or if it’s day or night. However, I always leave a little space for completely new groups. Listening to a fresh voice while looking at the ocean is the best way to find a new favourite band.

Leo

When we drive to the seaside, the internet connection often disappears near the water. Because of this, I always save all the tracks straight to my mobile before we start the car. I keep my list quite short, so it repeats, but nobody minds. My music choice changes depending on the light. I play fast, loud songs when the sun is shining brightly in the sky, and quiet, relaxing guitar music when it gets dark. I actually hate it when my friends sing along, so I usually choose instrumental music with no words! I don’t put on old songs, either; I just play whatever is popular right now.
