Protein Shakes After the Gym

 

Max

I lift heavy weights on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I only make a shake then. My older brother told me they are great for tired muscles after a hard session. I usually mix the powder with water, and I actually think it is quite delicious! I never wait until I arrive at my house to have it. I always empty my bottle in the changing room before I walk out the door. Sometimes I buy them at the café, but I don’t use apples or bananas because it takes too much time to prepare.

 

Lily

Some people buy shakes at the sports club to save time, but I stopped having them last month. For me, they are really horrible to drink. I tried mixing them with sweet strawberries, but it didn’t help. I know they give you energy, but now I prefer to cook a healthy dinner like chicken and rice when I finish training. Eating a proper meal is much better for my body than having a strange powder. My sister loves them, but they are just not for me!

 

Sam

I train every single day, so my body needs lots of protein to get strong. Buying drinks at the gym costs a lot, so I prepare mine in my own kitchen to keep my pocket money. I don’t use the powder that comes in big plastic boxes. Instead, I always add a banana or some oranges to a machine with milk and ice. It tastes wonderful after a hard workout! I put it in my bag, but I never drink it until I finish my shower and get home.
