Early Morning Bird-Watching

Alex

I usually enjoy this hobby alone, but last Sunday, my grandfather came with me. We left the house at 5:00 a.m. because there were no clouds in the sky. I didn’t feel sleepy at all! We walked to the forest to find some colorful birds. I used my new camera, but sadly, I didn’t get any good photos. The animals were flying too fast. However, there is one picture of a little brown bird that I quite like. I am going to send it to a local magazine and see if I can get first place!

Ben

My alarm rang at 4:30 a.m. today. It was so hard to open my eyes, and I really wanted to keep sleeping! But I got dressed and rode my bike to the river. I made sure I had my camera and a warm coat. While I was waiting quietly, a large white bird flew down to the water. I have enjoyed this hobby for years, but I have never seen this kind of animal until today! It was amazing. I didn’t go with my parents this time, but I got some fantastic pictures.

I jumped out of bed quickly this morning because I was so excited to watch the birds. Unfortunately, it was raining and very wet when I arrived at the park, so it wasn’t a nice day. I waited under a large tree for an hour. Finally, a beautiful red bird flew past. I lifted my camera to take a photo, but then I realized my mistake. I left my extra battery on my bedroom desk! I couldn’t turn the machine on at all. I don’t care about winning prizes anyway, so I just enjoyed looking at the animals.
