Virtual Escape Rooms

Max

I tried a digital puzzle room with my classmates last weekend. Six of us were on the screen, but maybe a huge crowd is actually better! The problems were not easy at all, and we couldn’t understand most of the clues. We didn’t escape in time. Also, my Wi-Fi was terrible that day. My laptop turned off twice while we were playing, so I couldn’t see my team! Some friends wore funny hats on the call, but I just wore my normal grey sweater.

Lily

We love doing internet escape rooms! My mate Emma always finds the best ones and sends us the web links. I don’t do any of the organising! We usually log on when someone has a birthday party online. Last time, Emma’s computer was quite slow, but she still enjoyed it. I think playing with just two or three classmates is the perfect way. If there are too many voices on the video call, it gets very noisy. We escaped this time, but my brother was the person who unlocked the final door, not me!

Sam

Playing escape games on video chat is my favourite Friday night activity. We don’t wait for a special date to do it! To make it fun, we all wear dark coats and glasses to look like famous police officers. It makes the photos look brilliant! Some people say the digital tasks are too difficult, but our group usually finishes them quickly without any help. Yesterday, we only had one minute left on the clock. Everyone was shouting, but I discovered the correct numbers for the exit code and saved our team!
