Leo

I love sharing my writing on the internet. I usually write about dark houses and monsters because making people feel afraid is very exciting for me. My best friend likes reading my work, but I always create everything by myself. Some users leave notes under my stories, but I rarely look at them. The best part of the website is that fans can give you a few pounds if they like your tale. I don’t want to make a big book with hundreds of pages; short texts are enough for me!

Mia

Publishing on this website is a fun hobby. I don’t get a single penny for my work, but I don’t mind. Instead of writing about ghosts or the future, I prefer writing about true events from my own life or history. I never just write alone. A girl in my class usually types the words while I give her the ideas. It is great teamwork! Also, I love painting, so I always design the front cover for all our texts. It takes time, but the beautiful result is worth it.

Sam

I put a new short story online every Sunday. They are always about space and flying cars, not facts from the real world. My brother is excellent at drawing, so he creates the pictures for my page. Every time I post, I get lots of lovely replies from fans. I always check these notes carefully because they show me how to fix my mistakes and improve my writing for next time. Reading Digital Comics Before Bed

Liam

I always read webtoons in bed. My phone screen is very bright, so it keeps me awake. I always finish my chapter before I shut my eyes! I don’t really like reading about magic or monsters. Instead, I love stories about teenagers going to school or spending time with their families. They feel very real to me! The best thing about digital comics is how you read them. Moving the pictures up and down the display is so much easier than tapping left or right like a real printed book.

Noah

I mostly read about superheroes fighting bad guys before I sleep. It is so exciting! I love chatting about what happened in the story with my group during our break at college. The only bad thing is that the writers only upload one part each week. It makes me quite angry when the action stops and I have to wait seven days to find out what happens next! To fix this, I actually use my pocket money to buy the newest episodes immediately. It is definitely worth it!

Ethan

Reading digital comics is the perfect way to relax after a busy day. I only read the free ones, so I never spend any cash on them. Because I usually read late at night, I always switch my display to ‘dark mode’. Having a black background means my head doesn’t ache when my bedroom is black. I get so tired that I often wake up in the morning and my mobile is still on my pillow next to me. I just fall into a deep sleep in the middle of a story!

Listening to Interactive Audiobooks

Leo

I love listening to stories in my dad’s car. Last week, my cousin gave me a code for a free download of a new interactive app, so I didn’t spend any pocket money. It is amazing! On our holiday trip, I started a scary mystery tale. I was so interested that I didn’t notice the time. Suddenly, the car stopped and we were already at our hotel! I couldn’t believe it. I wanted to choose what the characters did next, but this basic version didn’t let me change the plot. I also tried to find a dictionary tool to look up words, but the app doesn’t have one.

Emma

For me, long railway trips are the best time to listen to digital books. I always travel with my mother, and we share a pair of headphones to enjoy the tales together. This app is special because it is like a game. Every ten minutes, you can click on different options to decide the ending of the adventure. It is never boring! The app was quite cheap to buy online. It doesn’t teach me any difficult vocabulary for my school classes, but it certainly stops me from feeling tired on a long day of moving from place to place.

Zack

I use a popular audiobook app when I travel on the school bus. It is an excellent way to understand unusual language and get better at English. When the characters speak, I can read the text on my screen, which helps me remember new phrases. However, I think the price we have to pay every four weeks is too expensive for teenagers. I might have to stop my subscription soon because it costs too much money. My parents don’t want to help me pay for it. I also don’t like that you cannot change the plot or make decisions for the heroes.
