Watching Daily Vlogs
Alex
I rarely watch television programmes anymore. The stars on TV are famous, but everything is filmed in a dark studio, so it doesn’t look real. With daily vlogs, the creators hold the camera and talk directly to you. Because of this, it feels exactly like I am chatting with my own mates! Some people think it is boring, but I find it really interesting to watch someone wake up, clean their room, or go to the supermarket. I don’t watch videos at breakfast, but I always spend an hour watching them before I sleep at night.
Bella
My friends love watching dramas on television, but I think they are awful. In my opinion, the stars on normal programmes just cannot play their parts well at all. Daily vlogs are much better because the people are just being themselves. I especially love watching creators who explore the world. Instead of fake places on TV, they show me actual towns, museums, and cafes. It is great because I can take notes and travel to those spots with my family one day. I never use vlogs to study or get new skills, I just watch them for fun.
Charlie
Television shows are always about crazy adventures, and the episodes are just too long for me. Vlogs are perfect because they are short. I always play them on my smartphone while I am sitting on the bus in the mornings. It makes the trip to my classes go much faster! Also, every evening, I sit at the table with my dinner and turn on my favourite channel. I don’t just watch for fun, either. Many video makers show you how to draw, fix a computer, or cook. I get lots of useful skills from them!

Broadcasting Live Games Online
Ryan
I stream my computer games a few times a week. I love it, but I always feel quite afraid right before I turn my camera on! Once the game loads, I forget about it. I don’t care about getting cash from my viewers, even though some players do. For me, the best part is helping the people who watch. I always give them tips and tell them what to do when a level gets too hard. Some streamers play with their friends, but I prefer to sit in my room and do it by myself.
Chloe
Every afternoon after school, I go online to share my screen. I don’t play famous games like other people. Instead, I show the racing software I actually built on my own computer! It is amazing to see people enjoy my work. I don’t have thousands of people watching me yet, but I have a few fans. Sometimes, they even send me small amounts of cash to say thank you. I am not frightened to speak online, so I just turn on the microphone and have fun with my viewers.
Jamie
I share my screen on the internet to show people my favourite football game. Because I have a lot of homework from Monday to Friday, I only go live on Saturdays and Sundays. I never do it alone, because my older brother always sits next to me, and we play matches against each other. I am never nervous when the red recording light goes on. On our first day, we didn’t expect anyone to care, so it was a huge shock when a thousand people arrived to see our match!

Smartphone Video Editing
Leo
I love filming my friends playing sports on my phone. The best thing about my editing app is that I can alter the time so my friends move really quickly or very slowly. It looks amazing! I also use a special tool to throw away the middle parts of the recording if nothing interesting happens. Emma told me how to join different films together, but I haven’t tried that yet. I usually take my videos in the middle of the day, so I never need to add more light to them.
Emma
I make a lot of short movies for my internet page. My absolute top feature is the audio one. Putting popular pop tracks in the background of my recordings is brilliant. I also have lots of fun typing funny messages over my face. Another great thing is how you can make the picture look different by making it more red or blue. I prefer bright styles! I tried a tool to delete the start and end of my movies, but I found it quite difficult to use.
Noah
I often record my holidays, but sometimes I film inside buildings where there is not much sun. I have a brilliant app that easily makes everything look much brighter, so people can see the video clearly. Also, because I usually take lots of five-second recordings, my favourite feature lets me connect them all to build one big movie. I usually turn off the sound completely because the wind is often noisy. My phone has an option to make everything black and white, but I don’t use it very often.
