Midnight Shopping for Clothes

Mia

I usually go to bed early, but sometimes my eyes stay open at 1 a.m. When I feel wide awake, I always open my favourite fashion app. It is so easy to tap the screen and choose a nice jumper or a pair of jeans. The best part is how fast the postman comes. If I order something in the middle of the night, the box is at my front door before breakfast! I don’t look for special low prices or read what other users typed. Sometimes, my brain is so tired that I completely forget what I put in my basket until the package actually arrives. It’s like a surprise gift!

Liam

I love fashion, but I don’t have a lot of cash. I started using a great clothing app because they always lower their prices at midnight. I can keep a lot more of my pocket money this way! I never have problems resting, but I set an alarm for midnight just for the sales. My best mate is usually awake then too, so we use video chat to look at the screen and choose our summer t-shirts together. The only bad thing is that if a shirt is too tight, returning it to the company is a massive headache, so I have to be careful with the sizes!

Chloe

Buying clothes on my phone at midnight is my favorite way to relax in my quiet bedroom. I prefer doing it by myself rather than showing things to my sisters. Before I put my card details in, I always check the short messages underneath the picture. Finding out if a jacket is good from real people is really helpful! The boxes take over a week to travel to my house, which is quite slow. However, if a dress looks terrible on me or doesn’t fit right, the company collects it from my house for free, which is fantastic.

Online Shopping Disappointments

Lucy

I bought a beautiful dress on the internet last week. I needed it for my best friend’s birthday on Saturday. I ordered a dark green one because I wanted it to match my new boots. But when the box arrived, the dress was bright yellow! I was so sad. It was a very cheap dress, but the quality was fine. I didn’t have time to put it in the post to get my cash. I had to wear something old instead. I am never going to use that online shop again!

Omar

I needed a warm sweater for a winter holiday, not a party. I found a nice black one online. However, they sent me a pink sweater instead! I was very angry. I didn’t want to keep it because pink is my least favourite colour. I quickly put it back in the post. A few days later, the company returned my cash to my bank account. Because I still needed winter clothes, I walked to the shopping centre in town to choose a sweater myself. At least I could check the colour first!

Daisy

I love shopping on the web. Recently, I saw a wonderful blue winter coat on my favourite site. There was a special half-price offer, so I bought it immediately to save money. Unfortunately, when I opened the package, the coat was completely brown! It didn’t look good with my blue trousers at all. I thought about visiting the post office to return it, but I didn’t. In the end, I put the coat in my wardrobe. My younger sister loves brown, so I gave it to her!

Returning a Shirt Online

Harry

I bought a cool red shirt online last month. When I put it on, I couldn’t even close the buttons! I wanted a bigger one, but the website didn’t have my size anymore. So, I asked for my money back. I didn’t need to make a paper label on my machine at home, which was easy. However, the post office asked for five pounds to mail the package. Also, it was almost three weeks before 

the shop put the cash into my bank account. That was very slow!

Maya

I ordered a nice white shirt for my cousin’s wedding. Unfortunately, it was too short for my arms. Returning it was quite simple, and I did it all by myself without my dad’s advice. First, the original plastic bag was broken, so I found an empty box in my bedroom to put the shirt in. Then, the website sent me a document. I had to put ink on paper at the library and stick it on the parcel. Luckily, the online shop gave me my money back the next day!

Tom

I needed some new everyday clothes for college. I found a great green shirt on the internet. Sadly, when it arrived, it was definitely not a medium! I didn’t want my cash back, so I clicked a button to choose a large size instead. The return was completely free, so I didn’t pay the post worker anything. The computer part was a bit hard for me, but my mother showed me which buttons to click on the screen. The new shirt arrived perfectly just two days later.
