Learning to Code Online

Dan  

I started learning to code two months ago. The free videos online were good, but I wanted to learn faster, so I bought an excellent book about coding. It helped a lot. My friend makes games, but I prefer making basic websites. My dad knows nothing about computers, so I work alone in my bedroom. Yesterday, while I was watching a lesson, my computer suddenly turned off and I lost my work. It was annoying, but I still love coding!

Amy  

I think everyone should learn how to write code. All the internet tutorials I use are completely free. The lessons were very easy right from the start because the teacher spoke slowly. It took me three weeks to complete my very first simple website, but I felt so happy when it worked! Every Saturday morning, my older brother sits with me and we type code together. I want to be  a computer programmer when I grow up, so these skills will help me get a good job later.

Leo  

I love spending my free time on the computer. When I watched the earliest tutorials, I found them quite difficult because there were many strange words. But now, it is much simpler. My laptop is new and always works perfectly. I can finish a project in just one evening now. The best part of coding is building my own video games. I love playing them with my classmates. I don’t think about my future career yet, it’s just a fun hobby for now!

Sharing Files on the Cloud

Ben

I started using a new online folder system last month. At first, it looked very difficult, but a friend from school showed me what to do, so I learned it quickly. My favorite thing is that the app costs zero pounds, so it is great for students like me who have no money. I use it for my big music projects. I was worried about safety because some apps are not safe, but this one seems fine. My manager can see my files, but we cannot edit them together.

Lana

Our office uses a popular cloud tool for our daily business. It is wonderful for sending large moving pictures to the people I work with on our design team. It can be quite expensive to buy each year, but it is worth it. I am completely sure that all our private business information is secure and nobody can steal our files. Also, when we have a big project, three of us can work on the exact same page together. It saves so much time because we don’t have to wait for each other.

Marco

Sharing files is an important part of my university course. With this internet app, putting heavy text papers online is incredibly fast and only takes a few seconds. I love that I can access my folders from my laptop at home or on my mobile screen when I am sitting on the bus. A few people said it is hard to understand how the app works, but I found it very simple to learn by myself. I hope it stays cheap in the future.

Using AI for Creative Writing

Tom

I love using technology on my smartphone when I am at home. I use an online program to get cool thoughts for my science fiction tales about people living on Mars in the year 2090. My English teacher doesn’t like computers, but I found this application by myself. The best thing is that it costs absolutely nothing to use. Some of my classmates use expensive software, but this zero-cost tool is perfect for me. I usually write very serious action stories, not funny ones, and I keep them secret from my parents.

Anna

My school instructor told me about a special AI website last month because I needed help with my creative writing homework. It is a fantastic tool because I can now finish my story plans in just a few minutes, which makes my study time much shorter. I write historical stories about kings and queens from the past. The website is not free; I have to pay three pounds every month, but it is worth it. When my tales are ready, I always read them to my mom and brother at dinner time to see if they like them.

Geri

I don’t have a computer or laptop at home, so I only use the AI software on the digital screens in our school library during lunchtime. I enjoy making my friends laugh, so I use the program to help me create very funny stories about silly animals. It actually takes me a long time to choose the best words, so it does not save me any time, but it is great fun. I never show my family what I write because I am too shy, but my classmates think my amusing tales are brilliant.
