The New Basketball Arena

Kevin

I visited the new basketball stadium yesterday. My dad usually drives me, but he was working, so I caught the train. It stopped right in front of the doors! The walls and roof of the building are shaped like a giant shoe, which is quite unusual! I bought a hot dog before the match, but I was too excited to eat it. My club scored more points than the other group in the final minute. It was the best day ever, even though our seats were at the very back.

Lara

I went to the modern basketball arena for the first time on Saturday. I didn’t take the bus because it’s only a five-minute walk from my house. Before we found our places, I visited the shop and paid for a cool team t-shirt. The match was fun, but sadly the group I support lost by ten points. However, the entertainment was great. During the breaks, the speakers played lots of brilliant pop tunes, and everyone was dancing. We sat quite high up, but we could still see the ball clearly.

Mason

Our school basketball group got tickets to the new arena on Sunday. The building looks like a normal grey box from the street, but the inside is fantastic. Our chairs were right next to the court, so we could almost touch the players! It was much better than watching it on television. By half-time, my stomach was empty, so I went to the cafe to get a large pizza and some fries. There were no bands or pop tracks playing, but the crowd was very loud. I didn’t buy any gifts because I spent all my cash on snacks.

Visiting the Floating Market

Leo

I wanted to see the floating market, so I woke up at 5 a.m. to get there. There weren’t many other tourists around yet. The best part for me was the audio experience; I really loved the loud songs and words of the men and women selling things from the water. I saw some bright yellow bananas, but I didn’t take my phone out to record them. To be honest, I stayed very still because I was scared my small boat would turn over and I’d drop into the river!

Maria

I visited the market in the afternoon, so the sun was very hot. Because of the weather, I immediately paid for a cold, fresh coconut juice from a passing boat. It tasted amazing! I felt completely safe on the water, so I stood up to look at all the lovely things. The fruit was quite expensive, so I didn’t buy any apples or mangoes. Instead, I looked at some handmade objects and found a nice wooden bowl for my mother. She will love it!

David

My trip to the floating market was interesting, but it was hard to move because of all the tourist boats. We had to wait a long time to get near the sellers. I didn’t want any tea or water, but I bought some sweet mangoes for myself. I didn’t find anything to take home to my family. However, the views were beautiful. I took dozens of pictures of the red and green canoes with my new lens. I’m going to put them on my bedroom wall.
