Strict Morning Routines

Leo

My clock wakes me up at 5:30 a.m. while my parents and sister are still sleeping. I always go for a quick run in the park to wake my body up. When I return, my dad already has toast and warm milk waiting on the table for me, so I don’t need to cook. After I eat, I quickly put my books in my bag, grab my coat, and hurry to the bus stop. It is only a two-minute walk from my front door, which is great because I am usually tired after running!

Maya

I hate being late, so I always put my books and pens in my bag in the evening before going to sleep. My mum wakes me up at 7:00 a.m. when she is already making coffee in the kitchen. At my school, we can’t wear our own jeans or T-shirts. I must put on a white shirt and a dark blue skirt every single day. I always finish all my studies at my desk at home, so I just listen to pop music on the bus. The bus stop is right outside my apartment building.

Sam

My parents wake up very early and leave for their jobs before me. Because I am alone, I always cook some eggs or make a bowl of cereal for myself. I am much too tired to do gymnastics or play sports in the morning! I just eat, get dressed, and leave. It takes me twenty minutes of walking to get to the place where the bus picks us up. Because the journey to school takes an hour, I usually read my history or math notes on the way to finish my school tasks.

Bedtime Routines

Emma

I like to be organized, so I always put my textbooks and pencils into my backpack before I get into bed. I also take a piece of paper and write a list of tasks I must finish the following day. I have a cat, but she sleeps downstairs, so I don’t see her at night. Finally, to help me feel sleepy, I usually look at a few pages of a funny comic or sports magazine. It’s a great way to forget about studying!

Noah

By the time I go to my bedroom, I am usually very tired. I never organize my bags at night; I prefer to do it when I wake up. However, I always spend about fifteen minutes using my mobile phone to send texts to my classmates about our day. My mom sometimes offers me a hot drink or a piece of cake, but I always say no. Having a full stomach makes it hard for me to rest. I make sure my door and windows are closed tightly so it stays quiet.

Sofia

I cannot rest if my bedroom is too warm. Before I get under my blanket, I pull the glass back a little bit to let the cool night wind inside. I don’t use my phone to message anyone because my mates go to sleep early. Instead, I sit quietly and brush my dog’s hair. He loves it, and it makes me feel very peaceful. I sometimes have to look at my science notes for tests, but I am usually too tired to enjoy fun stories or magazines.

Favorite Video Editing Software for PC

Alex

I love making short movies on my laptop. The program I use is fantastic because I didn’t have to pay anything for it! I just downloaded it from the internet. Some programs take hours to finish a video, but this one saves my projects in just a few seconds. It is amazing! I usually put my videos on the internet for everyone to see. My brother told me to try a different program, but it was too difficult for me. I prefer this one because it is so simple.

Ben

I use a very famous video program on my PC. It cost me some money, but it is worth it. When I first got it, I spent weeks watching online lessons to understand how to do things. Now, I can make really cool movies! The best part is the audio. It comes with hundreds of amazing songs that I can put in the background of my movies. I don’t put my videos online. Instead, I usually send my finished movies to my grandparents and my cousins. They always enjoy watching them!

Charlie

I wanted to find a good video program, but I didn’t know which one to choose. Then, a boy in my class said his software was great, so I decided to get it too! I saved my pocket money to buy it. I am a student, so I often use it for my homework and class projects. My teacher always loves the videos I make. The program is quite easy to use, even though my laptop is a bit slow. Sometimes I like to add my own songs to the videos, but I usually just use the sounds that are already there.
