Fun at the Indoor Trampoline Park
Liam
The indoor trampoline park is incredible! When we arrived, my friends wanted to jump from the highest wall into a pool of soft blocks. I was really scared of falling, so I watched them first. After a few minutes, I finally did it and it was amazing! Later, we played a jumping basketball match. My team lost, but we still had fun. We didn’t buy anything from the café because I had some sandwiches in my bag. We stayed for three hours, and by the end, I had no energy left. I went straight to bed when I got home!
Sofia
I invited all my classmates to the park because it was my fourteenth birthday. It was the best place for a party! My uncle paid for the tickets, which was really kind of him, but he couldn’t come with us. The most exciting part was the dodgeball area. You have to throw soft balls at the other team while jumping. I actually beat everyone, so I got a small prize! If you plan to go there, remember to dress in loose things like jogging trousers. You will get hot very quickly, so jeans are a bad idea.
Toby
I go to the trampoline park every month. Usually, I go with my friends, but last Saturday I took my younger brother because he really wanted to try it. He was very brave and tried all the big jumps immediately! After two hours of jumping, we were quite thirsty and hungry, so we went to the restaurant upstairs. The burgers and lemonades were delicious, but I had to spend a lot of my pocket money on them. They were definitely not cheap! Afterwards, we watched an amazing jumping competition. I hope to enter it next year.

Learning About the History of Transport
Toby
The transport museum was amazing! I spent a long time looking at the old trains. I thought they were very fast, but actually, they didn’t go as quickly as modern trains. The interesting thing was how bad they were for nature. They used coal, which made huge black clouds everywhere. I also looked at some early cars. Back then, there were no garages on the streets. If your vehicle broke, you had to use your own tools and make it work again before you could continue your trip. I even tried on a vintage driver’s hat, just for fun!
Mia
Our school trip to the museum was brilliant. I read an information board about the very first cars. Only the richest people had enough money to get one because they cost a fortune! I definitely wouldn’t want to repair an old engine because they look so complicated. I also got to step inside an old wooden bus. I couldn’t believe there was so little room for people. You had to sit very close to the person next to you! Also, I read that getting to the next city often took several weeks, whereas today it only takes a few hours.
Lucas
The museum tickets were quite expensive, but it was worth it. There were so many people there! The area I liked most wasn’t about trains or cars. Instead, I learned how people travelled using just their legs or animals. The history of early bicycles and riding horses across the country was fascinating. Later, I looked at a display of the first open-top cars. Because there were no windows, the people inside needed heavy jackets to stay warm and large glasses to stop dirt from getting into their eyes. It looked very uncomfortable!

Wildlife Photography Exhibition
Alice
I visited the rare wildlife photo exhibition yesterday. It wasn’t full of people, so I could look at everything easily. I read all the information next to the pictures. I didn’t know that snow leopards could jump so far! That was completely new to me. The photos were so beautiful that I want to see them all again. I’m going to return next weekend with my mother to show her. I didn’t spend any money there because the shop was already closed when I finished.
Ben
I went to the exhibition on Saturday afternoon. There were just too many people there, which made it very hard to see the pictures. I couldn’t read the information on the walls because of the noise. However, the images were fantastic. My absolute favourites were the ones shot in the dark, especially the owls under the moon. I liked them so much that I got a book of the pictures before I left. I went alone this time, but I might take a classmate next time.
Carla
The photos of the rare animals were amazing. I went with my best mate, and we spent hours looking at them. What amazed me most was how the person with the camera could stand just a few metres away from a dangerous bear! I would be much too scared to do that! The daytime pictures in the jungle were the ones I liked the most. We wanted to get some postcards to take home, but they were too expensive. I don’t think I will visit it again, but I had fun.
