Our Home Office Setups

Liam

I kept all the cash I got from my weekend job for a year to pay for my new Mac mini. It is very fast! I have a nice wooden table in my bedroom for my keyboard and mouse. My sister loves painting, but I just use my computer for fun. When I finish my homework, I spend hours enjoying sports matches on my PC. The huge monitor makes it feel like I am really on the football field!

Emma

My setup was a birthday gift from my parents, so I didn’t spend anything. My bedroom is too tiny for a table, so my Mac mini and monitor sit on a wide shelf next to my bed. My younger brother sometimes borrows it to watch cartoons, which is fine with me. For me, the display is amazing because it is very wide. This makes it so much simpler to read long texts and write my history projects for college.

Noah

I love drawing and painting. I wanted a fast Mac mini because it is perfect for making my digital pictures. The computer was fresh from the shop, but I got the monitor from a friend who didn’t need it anymore. It still works beautifully! It is only for me, so nobody else in my house is allowed to touch it. I never use my setup for gaming because I prefer going outside to ride my bike or play tennis.

Our New Desktop Computers

Leo

I am so happy with my new sleek iMac. I didn’t buy it myself; my parents gave it to me for my birthday last week! I sit at my desk every evening to do my science homework and learn new English words. I also enjoy editing funny videos of my dog. I don’t make movies about my trips, though. The best thing about this machine is that it doesn’t make any noise at all, even when I use heavy software. Luckily, my brother has his own laptop, so I keep this all to myself.

Emma

Setting up this iMac on my desk was a great idea. I saved my pocket money for a year to buy it, but it was worth the cost. It is perfect for reading articles and creating short movies for my history class. My teacher always gives me good marks! The only problem is that I cannot use it whenever I want. My younger sister needs it for her school projects, too. It is a bit too modern for my old wooden table, but it is extremely fast and makes studying much easier.

Finn

I love my new iMac. Its thin, silver design matches the style of my bedroom perfectly, and it takes up very little space. I mostly use it to practice my video editing skills. I spend hours putting together clips from my summer trips to show my friends. The huge display is fantastic because I can easily see all the tiny details in my photos and videos. I never use it to make films for school because I prefer to write my homework in a notebook. The keyboard clicks are quite loud, but I don’t mind.

Our Bedroom Walls

Liam

My dad did all the work when we decorated my bedroom. I actually liked the old yellow walls, but we wanted a change. Now, my room is light blue. I chose this color because it gives the feeling of having lots of space. My bedroom is quite small, so this is really important. Blue is also a very calming color. I always feel relaxed when I go to bed at night, and I never wake up in the middle of the dark anymore. I don’t have any posters up because I just love looking at the beautiful paint.

Chloe

I couldn’t stand the dark green it was before, so I knew I had to change it. Now, my room is painted a soft pink. I saw some pictures in a home catalogue and thought it looked amazing, so I decided to do the exact same thing. Everything is one color now, and I think it looks very modern. The best part is that this pink looks great with my grey cupboards and shelves. My brother helped me paint it, so I didn’t have to do it alone, which was fun!

Noah

I am very proud of my bedroom because I did the whole job by myself. My parents bought the paint, but they didn’t do any of the work. Three of the walls are white, and one is bright orange. I love having a mix of shades! Orange is full of energy, so it really wakes me up in the morning when I have to get ready for school. It doesn’t make the room look big, but I don’t mind because it feels warm and comfortable. I didn’t even try to match it with my furniture.
