Comparing Fast-Fashion Winter Sweaters
Lucas
I bought a winter jumper from TrendCity last week. At first, it was too large for me, so I went back to the shop to exchange it for a smaller one. I chose a dark blue one because that shade goes perfectly with all my jeans and jackets. I spent a lot of my pocket money on it, so I hoped it would last. Sadly, the quality is terrible. After just three days of wearing it, a hole appeared near the arm. I won’t buy anything from there again!
Chloe
I found a beautiful green sweater at QuickStyle. I only paid twelve euros for it, which was fantastic for my budget! It felt very nice when I put it on in the store. However, it is quite thin, so I still feel a bit cold when I wear it outside in the snow. The biggest problem happened on Sunday. It got dirty, but when I took it out of the washing machine, the arms and body were suddenly much shorter. Now it doesn’t fit me at all.
Mateo
I ordered a grey winter sweater from FashionNow online. I got my usual size, and it fits perfectly, so I didn’t need to return it. The best thing about this sweater is how thick and heavy it is. I stay completely warm, even when I walk to school in the ice and snow! The material is also very strong, so there are no holes in it. However, the fabric is very rough. It hurts my neck and arms when I wear it, so I always have to put a long t-shirt underneath.

Looking Stylish on a Budget
Leo
I love looking good, but I don’t have much money. I get most of my t-shirts and jeans from the large supermarket near my house because they are very cheap. I usually buy black tops with cool band names on them. My top tip is to wear a nice watch or a silver chain. Adding this makes a simple outfit look amazing! My brother says I should buy cheap trainers too, but I disagree. I always pay a lot of cash for excellent things to put on my feet. They need to last a long time!
Emma
It is easy to look great without spending a lot. I never get my things from big shops or supermarkets. Instead, I always visit the stalls in the town square to look for cheap jackets and dresses. Sometimes I go with my sister, but I buy everything myself. To get good tips on what to put together, I look at fashion videos on my phone. They show me how to mix a cheap skirt with a cool jacket. I love wearing things with flowers on them. I never wear rings or necklaces, but I love hats!
Dan
You don’t need rich parents to look stylish. I am lucky because my older brother often gives me his old trousers and sweaters when they are too small for him. I don’t use the web to find fashion ideas; I just wear what I like. I hate tops with giant writing or photos on the front. I only choose plain items. To make things more interesting, I sometimes buy a cheap white shirt from a store and use special paint to make it red or green. It is fun to create my own style!

Oversized Hoodies and Baggy Jeans
Max
I started wearing large hoodies last year. They are amazing when it is freezing outside because the thick material stops the chilly wind. I never put my phone or money in my trousers, because they can easily fall out when the material is so wide. The only problem with my favourite tops is that my older brother often takes them from my bedroom! He is much taller than me, but my things are so huge that they fit him perfectly. My mum actually loves my style because she thinks it looks very comfortable.
Chloe
I love wearing very wide jeans and huge hoodies everywhere I go. My mum and dad often tell me that I look very untidy, but I don’t listen to them! It is sometimes hard to find wide things in the women’s shops, so I usually buy my trousers in the boys’ area instead. I really love the large spaces on the front of my hoodies. I can put my house keys and mobile phone inside, so I don’t have to carry a backpack. I take them off when I play basketball, though!
Dan
Baggy jeans are the only trousers I own. I spend most of my free time at the skatepark, and it is very simple to jump and move my legs when my clothes are wide. Tight trousers make it impossible to practice my tricks! I don’t really like bright clothes like red or yellow, so I only ever buy things that are black or dark blue. My sister hates my clothes and never borrows them. I wear my huge hoodies all year, even when the weather is boiling hot!
