Spicy Noodle Soup

Leo

I love eating noodle soup, but it is never hot enough for me at restaurants. Because of this, I always keep a small box of chili flakes in my bag. I love watching the clear soup turn bright red when I add my spice! My dad always tells me that eating hot food all the time is bad for my stomach, but I feel fine. I do not grow chili at home because I can buy it easily at the supermarket.

Mia

When I was a little girl, I hated anything with a hot taste. I only ate sweet or salty things. Now, I cannot eat noodle soup without a big spoon of chili flakes! I usually go to a café near my house, so I never need to bring my own spice with me. I really love having extra chili when it is snowing or freezing outside. It warms me up immediately. My soup always looks beautiful, and it tastes wonderful.

Sam

My grandfather showed me how to make noodle soup spicy, and I have loved it ever since. I also think it is the best medicine. Whenever I have a cold or feel tired, a hot bowl of noodles makes me feel much better. I actually pick the little peppers from my own garden and dry them in the sun to make flakes. I eat this all year round, even on the hottest days of summer, so I definitely do not wait for winter!

Asian Street Food Adventures

Tom

I loved the street food in Bangkok. I usually sat at small plastic tables to enjoy my noodles. Some tourists told me to try the sugary mango desserts, but I prefer salty dishes. The best thing was getting a hot bowl of soup at midnight. The food markets there never close! Also, the men and women cooking the meals always had big smiles and laughed a lot with the customers. I was surprised by the prices, too. I only paid a few coins for a huge plate of chicken and rice. It was brilliant!

Sarah

In Tokyo, buying food from the street markets is a wonderful experience. However, everything closes quite early, so you can’t really find snacks after dark. I didn’t mind spending a lot of cash because everything tasted so fresh. I bought amazing grilled prawns and fried fish on sticks. It was my absolute favourite! I also tried some special soup. It had so much chilli in it that my mouth felt like it was on fire! It was painful but really delicious. After buying it, I sat on a quiet park bench to enjoy my meal.

Ben

The food streets in Seoul are so busy! The sellers are always shouting loudly to get your attention, so they seem quite serious and busy, not relaxed. I didn’t try any meat or fish dishes. Instead, I fell in love with the local desserts. The hot honey pancakes and sugar breads were absolutely fantastic! In the market, there was no space for chairs or tables anywhere. We just ate our food on our feet while we walked around looking at the clothes.

Reviews of Vegetarian Burgers

Toby

My friends told me about this new burger bar in town. There is a long list of great things to try on the menu. I ordered the bean burger last week. To be honest, I didn’t think a burger without meat would be delicious, but it was amazing! It has a bit of hot chili sauce inside, which gives it a nice kick. It doesn’t cost much money, so it is perfect for teenagers. I always buy a takeaway and enjoy my meal in my living room while watching television rather than sitting inside.

Elena

I love eating at this restaurant, and I went there with my older sister last Saturday. The dining room inside is very comfortable and clean. However, they only have two meat-free burgers on the menu at the moment, so I think they should add more choices for us in the future. I always choose the potato burger. I don’t like hot food at all, so I asked the waiter to make it without any pepper. It is quite cheap, but I always ask them not to put any cheese on mine.

Lucas

I usually go to this restaurant alone after my college classes finish. Sitting at the tables near the big window is my favorite part. They have plenty of interesting dishes without meat, but I think the prices are quite high for a meat-free meal; it simply costs too much money for what you get. My favorite choice is the mushroom burger because it is full of melted mozzarella cheese. My brother loves hot chilies on his food, but I prefer something much milder when I dine here.
