Getting Ready for Guests

Next week, my friends are visiting. I really need to tidy my bedroom because it is quite dirty! When I do a big clean, I have to push my heavy bed and desk out of the way to reach all the dust underneath. It is hard work, but I always find pens and coins that went missing months ago! My sister never helps me with the mess, so I do it all alone. I spend the whole afternoon working. When I finish, the place looks amazing and ready for my visitors.

Mia

I am inviting some classmates over tomorrow, so my room must be perfect. Luckily, picking up my clothes and making the bed only takes me about twenty minutes! I work extremely fast. However, I really can’t stand washing the windows because it is quite a boring job. To make it better, I always put on my favourite pop songs. The loud music keeps me happy! I never touch the cupboards or tables because they are too big for me. Once everything is done, the space is perfect for relaxing with my mates.

Zack

When guests are coming to my house, I want my bedroom to look brilliant. I am very tidy, so I never lose any of my toys or books. Still, the floors need washing. Fortunately, my older brother always does the work with me. We make a great team and share the jobs. Before my friends arrive, I usually go to the supermarket and spend a little money on bright flowers to put on my desk. They make the room smell wonderful! We don’t turn on the radio because we prefer talking while we clean.
