Trying New Street Food

Anna

There is a new street market near my house, and I love going there on weekends. I never get desserts there because I do not like sugar very much. Instead, I always look for dishes with chili peppers that make my mouth burn! The only problem is that I have to stand behind many other people for at least twenty minutes just to buy anything. Also, I spend most of my pocket money on just one small bowl of food. The prices are certainly not cheap!

Ben

I usually visit the food trucks in the park with my classmates. We stop there in the afternoons after we finish our classes, before we walk back to our houses. I am not a fan of strong flavors, so I avoid the hot dishes. What I really enjoy is experiencing completely new things. Last week I had Mexican tacos, and today I tried Japanese noodles. It is amazing to eat international meals right here in our town. The dishes are a good price, too!

Chloe

Every Friday evening, my older brother and I walk down to the river to check out the food stalls together. We never have to wait because the cooks serve everyone very fast. My brother usually buys meat and rice, but I never eat those heavy main courses. I only want to buy pancakes, ice cream, or fresh fruit with honey. It is a fantastic way to end the week, and my brother usually pays for my snacks, so I do not spend any of my own money.
