Fourteen-year-old Charlie loves his cat, Milo. Milo is a very friendly pet and always follows Charlie around the house. One Saturday morning, Charlie went into the garage to get his bicycle because he wanted to meet his friends at the park. He didn’t notice that Milo walked in behind him. Charlie quickly closed the heavy door and rode away.

Toby’s Muddy Mystery
Fifteen-year-old Toby has a very energetic dog named Buster. Last Saturday afternoon, it was raining heavily. Toby was reading a book in the living room when he suddenly realized the house was too quiet. He went into the kitchen to look for his pet, but Buster was completely missing.
Toby started to worry, but then he noticed something on the clean kitchen floor. There was a long line of dirty brown marks. Toby quickly realized they were muddy paw prints! He decided to become a detective. He put on his raincoat and followed the messy trail out of the back door.
