A Holiday for Everyone
Fourteen-year-old Mia and her dog, Bella, are best friends. They do everything together, from walking to the park to watching TV on the sofa. So, when Mia’s parents started planning a two-week summer holiday to a beautiful beach in Spain, Mia was very excited. She immediately started packing her bags and Bella’s toys.
However, the next day, her father told her some bad news. He said that the hotel in Spain didn’t allow dogs. He planned to leave Bella with Mia’s aunt in London. Mia felt terrible. She told her parents that she refused to go to Spain. If her dog couldn’t come on the trip, she wanted to stay at home with her.
Mia’s parents didn’t want to leave her behind, so they asked her to help them find a new idea. Mia spent hours looking on the internet. Finally, she found a wonderful campsite near a large lake in France. The website clearly said that dogs were welcome to stay there.

Sam’s Important Lesson
Fifteen-year-old Sam used to be quite a selfish teenager. After school, he usually only cared about playing video games and going to the cinema with his friends. However, his life changed completely last year when his old cat, Daisy, became very ill. Taking care of her taught him some very important lessons about being a better person.
When the animal doctor said Daisy needed special care, Sam decided to take the responsibility. He had to wake up an hour earlier every morning to give her medicine and prepare a special diet. After school, instead of hanging out at the park, he hurried straight home to check on her. At first, he felt a bit angry because he missed his free time and his fun hobbies.
One evening, Daisy was feeling very weak. Sam sat on the floor with her for hours, gently brushing her fur. He focused only on making her comfortable, and he learned how to be patient and kind.
