Learning at the Front Desk

Eighteen-year-old Sarah is a university student. She is studying tourism because she loves travelling. Last month, she started a part-time job at the Star Hotel in her city. She works there every weekend. Sarah didn’t take the job just to earn money. She really wants to learn how to welcome guests and make them feel happy.

On her first day, Sarah felt very nervous. The hotel manager, Mr Brown, was very kind. He showed her how to use the hotel’s computer system. Later, Sarah gave the wrong room key to a woman. Sarah was worried, but the friendly guest just laughed. After that, Sarah felt much better.
