Drinking More Water

Jake

Since I started drinking two litres of water every day, I feel fantastic! Before, I often forgot to drink anything. So, I downloaded a cool tool on my mobile, and it sends me a message when it’s time for a glass. I also went shopping and got a huge metal bottle. It keeps the liquid cold all afternoon, so I don’t use small plastic cups anymore. My sister says her skin is much softer now because she drinks water, but I haven’t seen any changes like that on my own face yet!

Emma

I play a lot of basketball. In the past, my legs always felt heavy and I needed to stop after ten minutes. Now that I drink lots of water, I have so much energy on the court! One small problem is that my body is always full of liquid. I have to ask my teacher if I can leave the classroom to visit the toilet three or four times a day! But it is definitely worth it. I used to have spots on my cheeks, but suddenly my face is completely clear and beautiful.

Noah

I never used to drink plain water because I preferred sweet fruit juice. However, I often felt terrible after school, and my head always hurt a lot. Since I changed to drinking two litres of water instead, I haven’t needed to take a single pain pill! Another great thing is how it helps me in my lessons. When the teacher asks a difficult question, the answers just come to my mind quickly. I don’t need a phone alarm to remind me to drink because my body naturally feels thirsty now!

The Importance of Eight Hours of Sleep

Mark

I know that eight hours of rest is important. If I don’t get enough, I become really annoyed with my friends and family the next day! I have a special watch that records exactly how long I stay asleep. It is very useful. My brother likes to read before bed, but to help me close my eyes, I usually make a cup of heated milk. Some people say sleep helps them in their school exams, but my grades are exactly the same!

Sarah

I play a lot of volleyball for a local team. I noticed that if my body is tired, I cannot jump or run fast on the court. Because of this, I always make sure to rest for eight hours before big matches. I never drink coffee or tea at night. Even after a long sleep, leaving my comfortable bed when the sun comes up is still the hardest part of my day! My alarm clock rings for ages. However, I always wake up with a smile, never in a bad mood.

Toby

Last year, I usually stayed awake until midnight to chat online. Now, my lights are turned off by ten o’clock. This big change means I finally get eight full hours of rest. The best thing is that my brain works much faster now, so I get excellent results in my science and maths tests! I don’t need a mobile app or machine to tell me I am healthy. Because I rest so much, jumping out of bed at seven o’clock is super easy for me now.

Reducing Screen Time

Leo

I used to keep my phone next to my bed to check messages constantly, but my habits are different now. I only check my online apps three times every day, like after breakfast and dinner. My study room is always very bright, but using a laptop for hours can still be bad. That is why I bought special lenses to wear when I am doing my schoolwork on the computer. Also, at weekends, I prefer going to the park or riding my bicycle in the fresh air instead of staring at a display. It really helps me stay healthy.

Mia

Staring at computer tablets all afternoon is not good, and I don’t want my eyes to hurt in the future. Now, when I play video games, I set an alarm on my watch for thirty minutes. When it rings, I know it is time to turn off the laptop immediately. I also send fewer messages to my friends during the day. Another strategy is about sleeping well. I always leave my phone downstairs in the kitchen before going upstairs to sleep, so I am never tempted to look at the screen in the dark.

Toby

Last month, my eyes felt very dry and painful because I was playing computer games too much. I knew I needed to change something. I never look at the clock when I am online, so I tried a different strategy. I changed the display options to make the background much darker and softer. This trick makes reading ebooks much easier. I also wash my face with cold water after finishing my homework. My friends love using their phones late at night, but I try to read real paper books instead.
