Pancakes for breakfast

It was Saturday morning. Tom and his sister, Lucy, woke up early. Their mother and father were asleep in bed. Tom was very hungry. He said, “Let’s make pancakes for breakfast!” Lucy thought it was a great idea. They went downstairs to the big kitchen very quietly.

Tom lived in a big house with his family. He had lots of toys, but his favourite toy was a beautiful teddy bear called Brownie. Tom played with him every day. On Tuesday evening, Tom’s mother called him for dinner. Tom wanted to take Brownie to the kitchen, but he couldn’t find him anywhere.
